DAD!

For any boy, his Dad plays many roles throughout his life.
As a kid, his Dad is THE role model. If someone can do something, Dad can do it better. The super hero, the superman, the He-Man! He is the one from whom you learnt to tie shoe lace, the one who showed how to cycle.
When Dad returns from work, the kid knows it just by a single honk miles away. Tries to hide behind the curtains, behind the door, under the table, just to give him a surprise.
The Dad, leaves all the hectic days work and tiredness behind, pretends to get surprised, gives a warm hug, appreciates his son.
When the rare occasion comes when dad shouts or yells at his son's mistake, the kid is upset, but the dad is more upset. The kid makes sure he never repeats that mistake! Is quite, silent and almost the perfect person for days to come, up until dad takes his family out for a getaway, which mainly was a getaway with his son.
But, with time things change. People grow old and grow mature. Son becomes more formal. Finds new heroes. Finds new people who teach more "fun" things. Finds more people who appreciate things he does, which his dad doesn't really appreciate them now. The adolescent mind always in conflict with his family, more so with his dad. The mature and formal relations are always a strain. But somewhere all this is wrong, ain't it?
Its only when you kiddo grows older he realizes the difference between being appreciated and being appreciated for the right things.
Being mature is not at all important! It is the relationship that needs to be mature! Which calls for all to mature together. If it doesn't happen, there is a time lag when all reach the same level of maturity.
Looking back, we all appreciate this time, when you move away and get close. You see new people, different people, do all things in life you never really thought you would do in your true senses.
The kid, who once would say to himself, when i grow up, I'll be like my dad! I'll chose his career, his life style, follow his ideology, hears a new song, something that his dad says, - My son should be a step better than what i have been.
Dads are really funny people. they show you all their love to you when you are a kid, when they can carry you in their arms, on their shoulders. When you grow bigger than their arms, heavy for their shoulders, when you start running in life, they just seem to not know how to express their love and affection. I guess thats how dads are! And it shouldn't matter much either! coz you know your dad loves you, and you love him more!
